Having lived in Singapore, New Zealand, Malaysia and the UK, and visited 37 other countries, I've come to believe that the world would be a much better place if everyone traveled.
I'm fascinated by how diverse our world is. I try to spend my free time discovering new places, experiencing new things and taking photographs along the way.
When I'm not traveling and shooting, I develop software, and drink way too much coffee, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
I love a good beard but I can't grow one to save my life.
I shoot with Canon digital cameras and lenses. Not that it matters though. People make pictures - not gear. I'm very fond of black and white images and I love long exposure photography. Slowing my exposures down allows me to really appreciate what I'm photographing.
My aim has never been to realistically document the places I've been to. Rather, I try to depict these places the way my imagination sees them.
My work is heavily influenced by various contemporary photographers such as Michael Kenna, Cole Thompson, Michael Levin, Joel Tjintjelaar and Hiroshi Sugimoto, as well as the great Ansel Adams.
All my portfolio images are available for purchase as prints. These are printed on Hahnemühle 310/320 gsm premium fine art paper by a Hahnemühle certified studio here in Kuala Lumpur. These fine art papers are designed to last over 100 years so you can be sure your print will stand the test of time.
Prices will depend on size and shipping location. I work with you to figure out what will best suit your needs.
Drop me a message with what you'd like, or if you have questions about any of my images.
Or just to say Hi.
